Ovo vegetarianism /ˈoʊvoʊ/ is a type of vegetarianism which allows for the consumption of eggs; unlike lacto vegetarians no dairy products are permitted. Those who practice ovo vegetarianism are called ovo-vegetarians or eggetarians. Ovo comes from the Latin word for egg.
