Julieann Louise Julie Krone (born July 24 1963 Benton Harbor Michigan) is a retired American jockey. In 1993 she became the first female jockey to win a Triple Crown race when she captured the Belmont Stakes aboard Colonial Affair. In 2000 she became the first woman inducted into the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame. She has also been honored by induction into the National Women’s Hall of Fame and Cowgirl Hall of Fame.
