The Gallant Fox Handicap is an American Thoroughbred horse race run annually at the end of December at Aqueduct Racetrack in the Borough of Ozone Park Queens New York. An ungraded stakes it is open to horses age three and older and contested on dirt at a distance of one and five eighths miles. davInaugurated in 1939 at the old Jamaica Racetrack it is named for Gallant Fox the second winner of the U.S. Triple Crown in 1930. In 1958 the race was moved to the Aqueduct Racetrack.
