The USDA National Nutrient Database is a database produced by the United States Department of Agriculture of the nutritional content of a great many generic and proprietary branded foodstuffs. The database may be searched online or downloaded. The current release (as of October 1 2013) is SR 26 and new releases occur about once per year.These data are used as the source of food nutrient information by GNUtrition a nutrition analysis software for GNU.
