Sylvester Sylvie Linnane (born 29 December 1956) is an Irish retired hurler who played as a right corner-back for the Galway senior team.Born in Gort County Galway Linnane first excelled at hurling in his youth. He arrived on the inter-county scene at the age of sixteen when he first linked up with the Galway minor team before later joining the under-21 team. He made his senior debut during the 1976 championship.
