The women’s 4×100 metre freestyle relay event at the 2000 Summer Olympics took place on 16 September at the Sydney International Aquatic Centre in Sydney Australia.The U.S. women’s team dominated the race from the start to break the six-year-old world record and most importantly to defend an Olympic title in the event.
