Stanley Hamilton Atkins (1912-January 6 1996) was born in Newcastle upon Tyne. Atkins served as Archdeacon of Milwaukee in the Episcopal Diocese of Milwaukee from 1962-1969 after almost two decades of service in the Church of England and the Anglican Church of Canada. He was consecrated as third Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Eau Claire on August 2 1969 in Christ Church Cathedral Eau Claire.
