The Seoul Metropolitan Subway has been described as the world’s longest multi-operator metro system by route length. It consists of 17 lines that serve the Seoul Metropolitan Area not counting the Everline single-car light metro line and the U Line light rail line which are listed as part of the system by the official operators.The system was rated the world’s best subway system by Jalopnik and nicknamed super highway by the BBC. It is notable for its cleanliness and ease of use.
