Pierre Bürcher (born on December 20 1945 in Fiesch Switzerland) is a Swiss prelate of the Roman Catholic Church currently serving as bishop of Diocese of Reykjavík Iceland.On October 30 2007 Pierre Bürcher until then Titular bishop of Maximiana in Byzacena and Auxiliary bishop of the Diocese of Lausanne Genève and Fribourg Switzerland was appointed Bishop of Reykjavík by Pope Benedict XVI.
