Jacques-Maurice des Landes d’Aussac de Saint Palais (November 15 1811 – June 28 1877) was a French-born American prelate of the Roman Catholic Church. He served as Bishop of Vincennes currently known as the Archbishop of Indianapolis from 1848 until his death.De Saint Palais was born in La Salvetat and ordained to the priesthood on May 28 1836 in the Church of Saint-Sulpice Paris. In July of 1836 he followed Bishop Simon Bruté to the new Diocese of Vincennes.
