The Nottoway (in their own language Cheroenhaka) are an Iroquoian-language tribe of Virginia Indians. Two Nottoway groups the Nottoway Indian Tribe of Virginia and the Cheroenhaka (Nottoway) Indian Tribe have both been recognized as tribes by the state of Virginia.
