Nanning Rail Transit is a rapid transit system under construction in Nanning the capital of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. Line 1 officially started construction on December 29 2011 with a 2016 completion deadline. Though a test section has been under construction since 2009. Line 1 is 32.1 km long with 25 stations. Line 2 started construction in 2012 with a 2017 deadline. It is planned that by 2030 there will be eight lines.
