Lanzhou Metro is a rapid transit system under construction in Lanzhou Gansu. Line 1 started construction in July 9 2012. Line 1 is 26.78km with 20 stations. The line is completely underground with a completion deadline of 2016. The vision for the Lanzhou Metro includes three urban lines totaling 90km and a three line 117km suburban regional rapid transit network.
