The Afghan Ministry of Defense (Pashto: د افغانستان ملی دفاع وزارت) is an organ of the Central Government of Afghanistan overseeing the entire military of Afghanistan. From 2004 to 2012 the ministry was headed by General Abdul Rahim Wardak. The current minister is General Bismillah Khan Mohammadi.
