Mary Lou Petty-Skok (April 5 1915 – April 2 2014) was an American competition swimmer who represented the United States in the 1936 Summer Olympics in Berlin Germany. She competed in the women’s 400-meter freestyle and placed fourth in the event final. She was born in Spokane Washington.Petty was an adept swimmer by the age of eight and began swimming competitively at the age of thirteen.
