In enzymology a mannosyl-3-phosphoglycerate phosphatase (EC 3.1.3.70) is an enzyme that catalyzes the chemical reaction2(alpha-D-mannosyl)-3-phosphoglycerate + H2O 2(alpha-D-mannosyl)-D-glycerate + phosphateThus the two substrates of this enzyme are 2(alpha-D-mannosyl)-3-phosphoglycerate and H2O whereas its two products are 2(alpha-D-mannosyl)-D-glycerate and phosphate. This enzyme belongs to the family of hydrolases specifically those acting on phosphoric monoester bonds.
