Lhotshampa or Lhotsampa (Nepali : ल्होत्साम्पा); (Tibetan: ལྷོ་མཚམས་པ་ Wylie: lho-mtshams-pa) means southerners in Dzongkha the national language of Bhutan. The term refers to the heterogeneous ethnic Nepalese population of Bhutan.
