In enzymology a kynurenate-78-dihydrodiol dehydrogenase (EC 1.3.1.18) is an enzyme that catalyzes the chemical reaction78-dihydro-78-dihydroxykynurenate + NAD+ 78-dihydroxykynurenate + NADH + H+Thus the two substrates of this enzyme are 78-dihydro-78-dihydroxykynurenate and NAD+ whereas its 3 products are 78-dihydroxykynurenate NADH and H+.This enzyme belongs to the family of oxidoreductases specifically those acting on the CH-CH group of donor with NAD+ or NADP+ as acceptor.
