The Khoid (Northern ones/people) people are an Oirat Mongol subgroup of the Choros origin. They were one of largest tribes of the Western Mongols but many (ten thousands?) of the Khoids were killed by the Manchu army during the fall of the Zunghar Khanate (1755-1758).
