John Joseph Cassata (November 8 1908 – September 8 1989) was an American Roman Catholic bishop.Born in Galveston Texas Cassata was ordained a priest on December 8 1932. On March 12 1968 he was named auxiliary bishop of Bida and auxiliary bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Dallas-Fort Worth Texas and was consecrated bishop on June 5 1968. On August 22 1969 he was appointed the first bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Fort Worth and resigned on September 16 1980.
