Histoplasmosis (also known as Cave disease Darling’s disease Ohio valley disease Reticuloendotheliosis Spelunker’s Lung and Caver’s disease) is a disease caused by the fungus Histoplasma capsulatum. Symptoms of this infection vary greatly but the disease affects primarily the lungs.
