Filhós (or filhoses in plural) is a traditional Christmas dessert in Portugal.Filhoses are usually made by forming balls from a mixture of flour eggs and pumpkin (paste or dough) which is optional. When the dough has risen the balls are deep fried and sprinkled with a mixture of sugar and cinnamon. They are eaten cold.
