Between September 1964 and May 1965 Inter Milan seized wins in Serie A European Cup and Intercontinental Cup: in domestic league there was an historic comeback over Milan (seven points ahead at halfway) and Internazionale came first winning his ninth championship. Inter was also able to retain European Cup beating Benfica with a Jair da Costa’s goal.
