Chak Seelong or Jet Tha Jaw (Burmese: ညဆီးစ်ကြီးၕ; MLCTS: Cha. Hka: Su Lun) a Burmese dish of Mandalay origin consisting of chicken thighs deep fried in palm oil and glazed with unrefined jaggery. The dish is often garnished with sliced boiled eggs steamed papaya and pan fried serpent gourd. It is generally regarded as a lunchtime meal or a light snack in the late afternoon.The name ‘Chak Seelong’ refers to the Palm Oil for which this chicken dish is fried in.
