Carolyn Jane Schuler (born January 5 1943) is an American former competition swimmer two-time Olympic champion and former world record-holder. She competed at the 1960 Summer Olympics in Rome where she won a gold medal for her first-place finish in the women’s 100-meter butterfly with a new Olympic record time of 1:09.5. She received a second gold medal as a member of the first-place U.S.
