Beth Israel Congregation is a Conservative synagogue located at 265 North Avenue in Washington Pennsylvania. Founded in 1891 it was the first Jewish congregation in Washington County Pennsylvania. Its first rabbi Jacob Goldfarb served for 50 years.The congregation constructed its first building in 1902. The current building at 265 North Avenue was dedicated in 1955.As of 2012 Beth Israel was the only synagogue in Washington County. Its rabbi was David Novitsky.
