Elections to the Parliament of the Autonomous Community of the Basque Country Spain were held on April 17 2005.The electoral coalition Eusko Alkartasuna-Basque Nationalist Party (EA-PNV) won 29 seats the Socialists came second with 18 seats the People’s Party came in third with 15 seats. The controversial Communist Party of the Basque Homelands won 9 seats.
