Azerbaijanis in Uzbekistan (Azerbaijani: Özbəkistan azərbaycanlıları) are a Azerbaijani diaspora in Uzbekistan and are Uzbek citizens and permanent residents of ethnic Azerbaijani background. Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan took through centuries and both countries used to be the part of Russian Empire and then Soviet Union. Currently there are over 35848 Azerbaijanis in Uzbekistan Azerbaijani people make up 0.15% of Uzbekistan’s population.
