The anterior tubercle is a small bump or tubercle on the cervical vertebrae. The anterior tubercle is located anteriorly (frontal) of the anterior arch which forms about one-fifth of the ring. The anterior archs anterior surface is convex and presents at its center the anterior tubercle for the attachment of the longus colli muscles.
