2241 Alcathous (1979 WM) is a large 114 km Jupiter trojan discovered on November 22 1979 by Kowal C. at Palomar.Photometric observations of this asteroid during 1991 were used to build a light curve showing a rotation period of 7.687 ± 0.005 hours with a brightness variation of 0.23 ± 0.01 magnitude.
