The 2011 French Open (also known as Roland Garros after the famous French aviator) was a tennis tournament played on outdoor clay courts. It was the 110th edition of the French Open and the second Grand Slam event of the year. It took place at the Stade Roland Garros in Paris France from 22 May to 5 June 2011.Rafael Nadal successfully defended his 2010 title defeating rival Roger Federer in the final to win his sixth French Open title.
