The 2010–11 season was Gateshead’s second consecutive season in the Conference National and their 13th at this level. They switched from being part-time to a full-time club with a professional squad at the beginning of the season with manager Ian Bogie signing a two-year contract. Adam Sadler was announced to be replacing Jeff Wrightson as assistant manager as Wrightson was unable to continue the role full-time.
