Internazionale Milano had a relatively mediocre season in which it won only ten out of 34 league games contested yet was never in danger of relegation because of its 17 draws which meant half of Inter’s games were left without a winner on either side. Inter only scored 28 league goals despite having fearsome German striker Jürgen Klinsmann and playmaker Lothar Matthäus at its disposal.
