The 1975 SCCA/USAC Formula 5000 Championship season was the ninth season of the Sports Car Club of America’s premier open wheel racing series. In light of the Can Am Series’ folding the previous year Formula 5000 became the SCCA’s flagship series. However only two years later Formula 5000 would form the basis for a revived Can Am Series. Three rounds of the 1975 series were championship races co-sanctioned by the United States Auto Club.
