The asteroid 1181 Lilith is a main belt asteroid discovered February 11 1927 by Benjamin Jekhowsky. It was given the provisional designation 1927 CQ.It is part of the main asteroid belt outside the orbit of Mars. It is named in the honour of French classical music composer Lili Boulanger.1181 Lilith is not related to the astrological ‘dark moon’ Lilith.
