1159 Granada is a main belt asteroid orbiting the Sun. Approximately 30 kilometers in diameter it makes a revolution around the Sun once every 4 years. It completes one rotation once every 31 hours. It was discovered by Karl Wilhelm Reinmuth at Heidelberg Germany on September 2 1929. Its provisional designation was 1929 RD. It is named after the Spanish province of Granada.
