1046 Edwin is an asteroid that was discovered by Belgian-American astronomer George Van Biesbroeck on December 1 1924. It was assigned the provisional designation 1924 UA then named after the discoverer’s son Edwin van Biesbroeck. Photometric observations of this asteroid at the Oakley Observatory in Terre Haute Indiana during 2006 gave a light curve with a period of 5.30 ± 0.02 hours and a brightness variation of 0.3 ± 0.1 in magnitude.
