Zadvydas v. Davis 533 U.S. 678 (2001) was a case decided by the Supreme Court of the United States. The court ruled that the indefinite detention of immigrants under order of deportation but for whom the United States cannot find an country willing to accept said immigrant(s) may not be held indefinitely under the plenary power doctrine.
