Yitzchak Amit (Hebrew: יצחק עמית) is a member of the Supreme Court of Israel. Born in 1958 in Tel-Aviv Israel he served in the IDF’s unit 8200 and obtained his JD from Hebrew University in 1985. He was elected to the Supreme Court in August 2009 and took office in October 2009. He was previously a judge in the Haifa district court.
