Worthington’s White Shield (5.6% ABV) is an English India Pale Ale available principally in bottle conditioned form but also in casks. It is notable as a surviving example of a continuously-brewed nineteenth century beer recipe.It was first brewed by the Worthington Brewery in Burton upon Trent in 1829 principally designed for export across the British Empire.
