The Working for America Institute (WAI) is a nonpartisan non-profit organization that is an allied organization of the AFL-CIO. It is a strong supporter of labor-management partnerships and job training programs.Established in 1958 it was previously known as the Human Resources Development Institute (HRDI) of the AFL-CIO.
