Wonderful Town is a musical (1953) book written by Joseph A. Fields and Jerome Chodorov lyrics by Betty Comden and Adolph Green and music by Leonard Bernstein. Its origins fundamentally come from the collection of autobiographical short stories by Ruth McKenney published in The New Yorker three years following the incidents portrayed where she and her acting bound sister seek out success from their basement apartment of New York City’s Greenwich Village.
