Wolfgang Maennig (born 12 February 1960 in Berlin) is an Economics professor and was a competition rower and West Germany Olympic champion.Maennig won a gold medal in coxed eights at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul as a member of the West German rowing team.Wolfgang Maennig is professor at the department of economics of Hamburg University. Beforehand he was professor at E.A.P. Paris-Oxford-Berlin-Madrid.
