Wind Creek State Park is an Alabama state park located 7 miles (11 km) south of Alexander City. The park occupies 1445 acres (585 ha) of shoreline along the northern portion of Lake Martin a 41000-acre (17000 ha) clear-water reservoir on the Tallapoosa River. Wind Creek offers camping swimming boating fishing picnicking playgrounds and trails for hiking and equestrian use.
