William Walsh (1836–1918) was a Bishop of Mauritius and Dover.Born in 1836 and educated at Merton College Oxford he began his ecclesiastical career with a curacy at Horsell and was successively Vicar of St Matthew Newington Secretary of the Church Missionary Society and a Prebendary of St Paul’s Cathedral before his elevation to the episcopate.In 1913 he officiated and led prayers at the opening ceremony of The King’s Hall Herne Bay Kent.
