William Vaughan (1814–1902) was a British clergyman who held high office in the Roman Catholic Church.He was born on 14 February 1814 in London England. He was ordained a priest in March 1838 and was elevated to the episcopate as Bishop of Plymouth on 10 July 1855 a post he held until his death on 24 October 1902.It is to him that the diocese of Plymouth owes its first organisation and consolidation.St Boniface’s Catholic College in Plymouth has a House named after him.
