William Nelson Runyon (March 5 1871 – November 9 1931) was a Republican who served as Acting Governor of New Jersey from 1919 to 1920.Runyon was born in Plainfield New Jersey. He was a lawyer then a member of New Jersey General Assembly from Union County New Jersey from 1915 to 1917. Runyon served in the New Jersey Senate representing Union County from 1918 to 1922.
