William McCoy (1768 – 1864) was an 18th and 19th century politician from Virginia.Born near Warrenton Virginia McCoy was a member of the Virginia House of Delegates from 1798 to 1804 and was a delegate to the Virginia Constitutional Convention in 1829 and 1830. He was elected a Democratic-Republican Crawford Republican and Jacksonian to the United States House of Representatives in 1810 serving from 1811 to 1833. Their he served a chairman of the Committee on Claims from 1827 to 1829.
