The Rt Rev William Marlborough Carter KCMG DD (1850-1941) was an eminent Anglican Bishop in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.Born in July 1850 he was a nephew of Canon T. T. Carter. He was educated at Eton and Pembroke College Oxford and was ordained in 1874. Following curacies at Christ Church West Bromwich and All Saints Bakewell he was Secretary to the Eton Mission Hackney until his elevation o the Episcopate as Bishop of Zululand in 1889.
