The Wii Balance Board (Japanese: バランスWiiボード Hepburn: Baransu Wī Bōdo) is a balance board accessory for the Wii and Wii U video game consoles. Along with Wii Fit it was introduced on July 11 2007 at the Electronic Entertainment Expo. It was later revealed that the board is not only backward-compatible with Wii games on the Wii U but is also compatible with games specifically for the Wii U.
